Community rules & terms

Don't Borrow Trouble is a small, kind community. By posting comments, replies, forum threads, a username, a bio, or a profile picture here, you agree to these rules. Breaking them can get your content removed and your account restricted.

Be decent

• No slurs, hate speech, or harassment - including racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or misogynistic language. Identity terms (gay, trans, queer, lesbian, etc.) are welcome; slurs are not.
• No bullying, threats, doxxing, or targeting other members.
• No sexually explicit content, gore, or shock material.
• No spam, scams, ads, or mass self-promotion.
• Keep usernames, names, pronouns, bios, and pictures clean - the same rules apply there.

How we moderate

• An automatic filter masks profanity. A comment with several censored words is hidden automatically.
• Anyone can report a comment or profile, or send a bug report, from the Reports page.
• Moderators may hide or remove comments, remove a profile picture, lock someone out of custom picture uploads, restrict commenting or profile editing, temporarily mute an account, or - for repeated or serious violations - remove access.
• A mute never blocks you from reading; it pauses posting for a while.

Accounts & membership

• You're responsible for what's posted from your account.
• Membership perks (like uploading a custom profile picture) come with active membership; everyone can pick from the preset icons.
• We may update these rules as the community grows.
